Congratulations! You made it to Day 4. By now you should be feeling more alert and energetic and ready to face the rest of the week. Think about continuing on and finishing out the month…
You wouldn’t put water in your car when it needs gas would you? So why do you put junk in your body, looking and feeling older than you should? Laser treatments, peels, and other cosmetic treatments are expensive, why pay for them or go into hock for them if you don’t have to? We only have one body – take care of it! Give your body the fuel it needs and it will surprise you with how good you look and feel. There’s a quote, I don’t know who said it but the first time I heard it I thought it was perfect. “When you do what you love, the Universe conspires on your behalf”. Hey, I’ll take help wherever I can get it.
My hope is for you to use this plan to give smoothies a try and just start by getting more fruit and veggies into your diet. If you choose to end your detox at the end of the week, then thank you for trying it. For the rest of you, let’s keep going and turning back our body clock’s!
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Try and drink 3 cups of green tea as well. It’s good for you.
Day 4 Menu
1 small handful spinach
3 mint leaves (optional)
1 c. Orange juice
1 c. Pineapple (I freeze it overnight so the smoothie is thick like a smoothie instead of juice consistency. You could also add ice to thicken)
1 tbsp. ground flaxseed (optional)
Directions: wash spinach and mint. No need to dry, just throw in blender. Add rest of ingredients and blend until smooth.
1 c. apple juice
1 c. ice
Mid-afternoon snack (optional)
1 tbsp. chia seeds
1 c. apple juice
1 c. blueberries (use frozen or add handful ice to desired consistency)
